Presentation
The Archéocapsule is a travelling exhibition format designed by the Institut national de recherches archéologiques préventives, which explores current issues through the prism of archaeology, such as health, migration, regional planning, slavery, food, the world of the dead, elites and power, housing, climates and landscapes.
The château de Vincennes gives a voice to old stones through the sixth capsule in this thematic series, entitled "Archaeology of buildings and constructions". Construction techniques, which have been the fruit of a collective effort since Neolithic times, meet the demands of increasingly numerous and complex societies. They effectively reveal social structures and the quality of community life.
